malaysiaMy team and I spent about 6 weeks in Malaysia. We were based in a beautiful city, "Kuching." During our time there, we worked with churches by running the youth groups, sharing at church services or joining the churches during evangelism time. We also explored lots of the city doing prayer walks and using the Holy Spirit as our guide. We painted a youth drop-in center for a few days as well as a Muslim man's home and built relationship with him. We also had a fun opportunity to work with a local school and teach a religion class, there we shared messages and testimonies and gave the students a time of reflection.
We spent about a week in "Mukah" which is 10 hours away from Kuching, there we did plenty of village ministry, preaching the gospel in homes of the locals, loving the local people through our actions and did some hands on work as well. |
indonesiaWe spent 12 days in Indonesia. We partnered with the YWAM base in Pontianak and got sent to a village for 10 days. This was a very eye-opening trip but wonderful to witness. Here, we spent our time with a family who's opened their home and made it an orphanage. We did lot's of church services, sharing messages and testimonies, lots of kids ministries and we also did a water project, which involved helping the locals have a easy access water way up to their homes. After my time here, I truly grew a heart for Asia and the people there, i'd go back in a heartbeat.
